So, I found the 101 in 1001 community a couple of days ago and I thought It would be a good idea. So, in addition to the normal things I keep posted here, I will be tracking my progress in this entry among others.

Okay, it's a bit sad that it's been over 2 months since I last posted here. The basic idea is that there was a mad rush to get me to uni (understandable) then I spent the first few weeks adjusting (understandable again) and then I got a bit... depressed... is the only way I can describe it. Basically, I have the most hours out of everyone in my flat (16 compared to their 8), which are spread out over the day and then when I get back I am exhausted and have some work to do (to be honest it's not much - and I haven't been keeping up to date with my notes either). Then I clean and cook. After that, I just like to chill out by reading or watching a DVD and as such have fallen into a semi-rut. Plus I've been struggling with uni anyway up until recently.
I dropped the chapter of White Flag that I was working on for so long that I had no idea what I was doing, but I cut out the sections that I had left to do and finished the one that I was working on yesterday. (And so, writer!Bina rose of of the depths of depression)
The new chapter s about 5500 words, so i think some readers might be disappointed, but I'm just happy that I finished it and decided to pick up writing again. I have an assessment to do tomorrow, then I'm going to the library and picking up a textbook I need, before watching a movie with the Japanese department, then on thursday and friday I plan on catching up with my notes (or starting to) and seeing my grandparents

I usually ask my mum sister and my sort of brother in law, then if I'm not certain, I mentally list out the pros and cons
So, I got my A-level results, and I....
GOT INTO BIRMINGHAM UNIVERSITY WITH ABB!!!!!!!
I am so happy right now, it's stupid.
Though everyone was surprised when I got my A in Biology as opposed to Spanish. I think it was simply because I was so freaked out about my Biology exams that I just studied harder for them.
Either way, yay :)
I don't know what anyone in my close group of friends got, all I know is that most of them got into their top choice unis, some more info would have been appreciated.... : /
I'm going into town tomorrow, I should reward myself with some pretty yarn!.
Also, I've decided that I might stop posting actual chapters on here, and just post links to the other locations because I hate splitting chapters then linking them altogether. I'm also thinking of taking down my Mission 101 post too, I'm not really following it TBH.

Chapter 5 of White Flag is on its way to completion, I have one large-ish secne that I'm about to finish and a couple of little ones. Then, after that, I've got to write two or three letters and after that, I can send it to my beta hopefuls!
( Spoilers )
Sorry for the inconsistencies in the font and the size, Word and LJ are acting a bit screwy as per usual, also, tell me what you think! I should have this all out by the end of next week at the latest, depending on my beta(s)

They're all good until book 5. On my shelf GoF is closest to falling apart with OotP not far behind - it would have fallen apart if not for Sirius' death.
I was alrightish with HBP except for the Ginny/Harry moments which were totally random and out of place (and totally cliche - did no one mention that to dear JK?). I must admit, I was totally disappointed with the complete lack of Sirius-resurrection and the introduction of Tonk/Remus (random as fuck and the only reason for seemed to be so that there would be a war-orphan baby at the end of DH.
Deathly Hallows can go burn for all I care - first strike was Remus actually staying with Tonks, the second was when he and Snape died - don't get me started on Fred!!...and then the epilogue was just ...plain...wrong! - RIP Hedwig - no one cares about symbolism, and we'd like to keep our childhood innocence, ta.
Could she not have made it less cliche by maybe having a couple divorce of added a gay pairing (apart from Dumbledore - sometimes I don't think it counts)
I think the most satisfying reads are The Philosopher's Stone because it has a childlike innocence about it, Prisoner of Azkaban because something good actually happens to Harry and Goblet of Fire....just because it is pretty damn cool.

This is copied directly from my entry to
At the moment I'm working on a commission for my sister's boyfriend who is computer geek, it's going to be Tux, the linux mascot which is a penguin, and I must confess, it's the largest thing I've ever crocheted, and my first pattern.
Here's Tux last week:

That's the head and shoulders at just under 12cm, At the moment, I'm adding height to the body and he's just over 15cm high I estimate him reaching 18-20cm tall.
Anyway, I went to see Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince yesterday (Wednesday 15th - loved it btw) and came home to find I had two packages waiting for me under my mum's mail. My copies of Amigurumi de Yururi by Sachiyo Fukao and Hello Kitty vol. 3 Knit Dolls and Goods by Eriko Teranishi had arrived (Hurrah!).
Today, I tidied up and wrote bits and bobs for my fic, but my eyes kept straying to Ami de Yururi and the ball of yarn I bought in a sale but wanted to use for one of the projects and in the end, I gave in:

This Jellyfish is the entire reason I bought the book - as it happens I'd happily make all of the items in here : ) If anyone's interested, I used Paton's Serenity DK in lightblue (Myrtle)
This is the original one:

My one reservation about the pattern is that after the stingers/tentacles, the final round ends on 12 stitches which leaves a hole:

The next time I attempt this pattern I might add some round s to close the hole a bit. Either way, I'm very happy with this and I can't help but giggle a bit inside every time I look at my jellyfish.
If you want to buy a copy of Amigurumi de Yururi, you can buy it from Pomadour24 on either eBay or Etsy or from SaucyLouise at her website - Pomadour24 sells it cheaper and offers free P&P
When I'm done with Tux, I'll offer that pattern for free on Ravelry and my LiveJournal page seeing as Linux is a free OS.

One time, the power was out for nine hours down our road only and nobody knew why until our neighbours said that there was always a fault with our line in particular.
Another time during the night, the power went out three times while I was sleeping and I managed to wake up 1/2 an hour before I was meant to be at school (it's 5-10 min walk), but others weren't so luck and were turnign up1/2 way through first and second period.

New clothes, branded products and shampoo.
Clothes: I'm not into buying clothes, and in fact half of my stuff comes from the supermarket when mum does the weekly shop.
Branded products: I'm alright in buying different brands/supermarket own. The only thing I get fussy on is things like soap, chocolates and pop (completely different but meh).
Shampoo: At the moment my hair is so short that I don't have to use as much shampoo as I normally do, and the one In normally use is I Love Juicy from Lush for £13 which lasts me half a year, however, I could easily switch to a supermarket brand if I needed to. I don't need to use conditioner either.

I have finished the main writing process of Chapter 4 and will be proof-reading it over the weekend : ).
I went into town last week and in an effort to escape a guy preaching (/shouting ) christianity on the street, I stumbled into the clearance sale in John Lewis. It extended into the haberdashery and yarn department.
I got a good haul:
2 hanks of Mirasol Chirapa in Electric Purple to accompany the one I already had
1 hank of Mirasol Chirapa in Spearmint Candy
4 balls of Paton's Serenity DK in Cherry
2 balls of Paton's Serenity DK in Wysteria (lavender purple)
2 balls of Paton's Serenity DK in Myrtle (light blue)
4 skeins of Mirasol Samp'a in Blueberry (light blue)
I spent about thirty pounds, but I probably saved about the same, or slightly less as most of the yarn (apart from chirapa) was half price. I would have bought more, however the rest of the clearance yarn was either in shades that I didn't like, or still quite expensive, even in the sale (read as Debbie Bliss / Rowan)
On the way out, the preachy bloke was being yelled at by the good people of Reading. This caused a debate between me and my mum about whether it should be okay to preach about their religion in the streets. I said no, that it could be offensive, even to those who aren't religious at all, Mum said that he was 'just spreading the word' to which I replied 'that's why places of worship and leaflets were invented, that's just plain stupid and in your face.' Also Christian man was being a bit of a dickhead, so I won the argument.
Tuesday was my last Japanese lesson, so I felt that I had to make my teacher something. This last lesson was the last ever lesson I spent in school (unless you don't count evening classes or popping in for a yearbook meeting and to collect money). If I had done it altogether, this Mini Hello Kitty doll would have taken me only a few days, however it took about 3 weeks, with most of it being done last week and on Monday. I barely managed to finish in time, having to make the dress and attatch the arms on Tuesday before my class started so I didn't get many photo opportunities and had to use a mini Thornton's bag rather than wrapping paper.
( Hello Kitty goodness! )

The current chapter in progress has had to be split into two parts which will be posted separately mainly due to lengtha dn the lack of time spent writing the past few weeks This means that Chapter 5 will be fairly short and that Chapter 6 will be the chapter to feature the first day of term.
I have planned to make Chapter 5 a filler/time skip chapter, and hopefully, it will take less than a month to complete.
To any who have thought it, I have NOT abandoned White Flag, I have way too many ideas for it. It was a combination of stress, exams, studying and real life problems and commitments that have gotten in the way of writing. That said, it is somewhat difficult to suddenly go back to writing after a long time spent away from my brain-baby. I hope to have this chapter for White Flag ready to upload by the end of next week, or before then if time permits it.

I had two of three biology exams on friday and to be honest, they could have gone better, but at the same time, they could have gone worse. I have my last exams on wednesday, so I'm going to copy out the markschemes for the long answer questions tomorrow, and then on tuesday, I'm going to make notes on anything that isn't covered.
At the moment, I'm writing up the full moon in Chapter four of White Flag and here are some spoilers:
I'm not sure if you can tell, but the next chapter does focus heavily on the full moon, mainly because it's important as it's the forst one that the Mondstrahls (and Weasley) have in Forks and of course it's going to be important for the future...however, the obvious relationship pointed out above is not going to come into fruition for quite sometime - mainly due to major events and the...individual personalities.
AT the moment I have 7,700 words and with another three palnned sections and the werewolf scene not complete yet, this looks like it will be massive. However, I will be rewriting another scene more than likely after this scene so I am not sure how long te overall chapter will be. The full moon scene is a massive 3,500 words in it's incomplete state, including the switches between different points of view.

There are seven options for each question and I'm fairly certain that I know the other possible results -
-Harry Potter
-Ron Weasley
-Fred/George Weasley
-Jacob Black
-Edward Cullen
I can't figure out the final one but logically it would be Draco Malfoy...or the other weasley twin
Whenever I think of the word 'Logic' I think of Spock...
which in turn makes me think of all the hot Spirk fics out there-there was so sparks between Spock and Kirk in the new Star Trek film (Which was amazing by the way - it was so funny...even when there was the possibility of all of them dying...mainly due to chekov's really strong accent)
I'm a bit worried about offending people with the latest chapter to White Flag, there's a harsh homophobic comment which another person says 'We aren't like those southern states' in annoyance to the homophobic content.
I really don't want to offend anyone but in England, the general view is that the southern american states are christian extremists and are therefore racist and incredibly homophobic...I do believe that this was illustrated on an episode of Top Gear where they drove through Alabama and almost got shot at.
If anyone reading this can help me further on my little conundrum, then that would be most helpful : )

So, I finished school yesterday, it was major sad times.
I spent a good portion of my day with my other friends; anna micha andy and fiona rather than the others because I figured that I generally have less opportunities to spend time with them. Plus I generally get on better with Anna and the others: we talk more about books and stuff like that rather than internet fads and stuff like that which I generally don't understand. Also they don't rub me the wrong way and instantly judge me by the fact that I read twilight and am writing a fic (which is sacrelige as not only are Harry and Edward gay together but Dumbledore is rather evil).
Any way the day began at 8.30 for some of the Maths people who were doign a resit exam except for Andy whoa was doing the exam for the first time (Shes doing 2 and 1/2 Alevels in one year and is super smart). Apart from those three, The day's events started at 9.00 with rounders (sorta like baseball for those who don't know) on the three fields and then our final assembly with the obligatory speaches from our head teacher and our head of sixth form. Then Jaz sang her song which was quite nice albeit loud before Matt and Jenny (our head boy and girl) had their speech and gave out gifts to the tutors andour head of sixth form and uni officer. And we got applause for working on the yearbook. After that, the Leaver's video was played which was some pics to music and all of us doing a re-creation of the Rockstar by Nickelback video, Finally, Matt's band (Pink Liquorice who have been together since Year 8) played a song for us and we went back to the common room for Buck's Fizz and talking with the teachers. The most emotional I felt was watching the Leaver's vid and then when I gave Conchi and Mr Debuire their presents. Both my Sopanish teacher and the language assistant gave me really nice cards and Conchi bought me a copy of The Little Prince in Spanish which was really sweet of her.
After school was spent at Racheal's farm for a barbeque which was brilliant and saw many of the boys being macho and manly at the barbies, and finally we had our last ever party at the ROF which is being closed down. I finally figured out the lyrics to Pokerface by Lady Gaga (which played 3 times as well as Let's Dance) Thanks to Anna.
Apart from that, nothing much happened. I haven't really written much for White Flag, mainly becuse I've been so exhausted but I should be able to update after my exams which end mid-june.
